Two Divine Books From Our Much Loved Hubber And Published Author Cindyvine

'The supply of good women far exceeds that of the men who deserve them'. ~Robert Graves
Cindyvine, one of Hubpages most funniest, sincere, talented writers is also an author of two amazing published books, "Fears, Phobias And Frozen Feet"and "Stop The World I Need To Pee". I was fortunate enough to catch up with Cindy through the week, and partake in a magical interview with her regarding the two top class books she has written. I was not bribed, paid or asked to do this Hub by Cindy, I was inspired to do it for her, of my own will.
- Come on Hubbers let's support Cindy by buying a copy of her books. "Stop The World I Need To Pee" is only $15.00 for a special paperback edition on Amazon or you can purchase it at Lulu as a download for a mere $4.07. Fears, Phobias And Frozen Feet is also available on Lulu for a scanty $5.00 for a download edition. I have my own copies of both of her books, and I can tell you they are worth every penny spent. They are brilliant books, top class, you will love them. I feel here as Hubbers we need to support and encourage each other with our writing any way we can, including celebrating the success and achievement when one of us becomes published.

THE INTERVIEW
1.Cindy, what inspired you to write this two wonderful books?
"Fear, Phobias And Frozen Feet" - I was living in New Zealand at the time and had just had breast cancer, 5 operations, then I tore the cartilage in my knee which meant another operation. It was my year from hell. Then my house got robbed, somebody I was working for tried to steal my properties and I uncovered scams they were running, all cloak and dagger stuff that as I reported them and got harassed by them as a result.
With all the drama I got very depressed and slightly suicidal and was diagnosed as having post-traumatic stress syndrome. It turned out that I'd slipped through the cracks and had received no support from the Cancer Society. So, I was assigned a therapist, spent a week in respite care and I decided to heal myself by writing a book which could help others. The research I did, helped me with my recovery, although the book was aimed more at victims of abuse than at cancer survivors. This was because it came out that my Post-traumatic stress was actually coming to the fore from when we escaped from my ex after he tried to kill us.
"Stop the world, I need to pee! "- I wrote this book last year. It is basically autobiographical, but with a fictional character so I guess you'll be wondering what was fiction and what was fact when you read it lol.
2. How long did it take for you to write the books Cindy, and did you find it difficult considering what a busy woman you are?
"Fear, Phobias And Frozen Feet" took me about 6 months to write. I did quite a bit of research and chatted to many people in online chat-rooms to get their stories. At that time I was teaching during the day and working at a dementia care unit at night, so was pretty flat out. "Stop The world I Need To Pee" took me a month and a half to write. I was very disciplined and would write in my free periods, at lunch breaks and every night I would try and do a couple of pages which I would send to my friend in London every night to edit. I always manage to sneak in time for my writing.
3. Can you tell us in as many words as you like, a little on the storyline for your two books? What impressed me is although the books are like chalk and cheese to each other in subject matter, you write them both beautifully, now that depicts a real talent in writing.
"Fear, Phobias and Frozen Feet " is basically about how to break the pattern of abusive relationships in our lives. It explores the relationship triangle, Rescuer, Victim, Persecutor and also gives little tasks for you to do to help you get on the road to recovery and live your dreams. I think the book is easy to read as it is written in my usual conversational tone without the psychobabble you usually get.
"Stop the world I need to pee", is about a very ordinary woman's journey to find love, adventure and the dream man. There is some sex, okay, quite a bit, some hilarious moments but also a very serious message - how to escape from an abusive relationship. So, the book is fun but not fluffy and there are moments of tragedy as well. People who have read it say that it's easy to read and you get about halfway and you have to read to the end. It's supposed to be a page turner.
4. How long ago were they published?
Fear was published in 2005 and Stop the world was published in 2008. Unfortunately, I'm not so great at marketing and to sell your book online you have to market online. I just don't have the time to market online properly. I work full time, make sausages to sell, am a single mother and am writing another book. Just no time to market.
5. You must feel a great sense of achievement to see your books in print
I do feel proud that I have managed to get my book out there and available to be read. I'd feel prouder if people would bloody buy it! Although, I am thinking of framing my royalty cheque!
6. Do you feel comic writing is your greatest talent, you have such a natural ability to make us laugh with the hilarious articles you have written here on Hubpages?
I do believe that I am a talented writer even if I am now sounding unhumble and blowing my own trumpet. I don't only do comic writing though, I think I am quite eclectic in my choice of genre. However, whatever I write, I do think my slightly random humor comes through, maybe just in the odd phrase, but it is there. I am very random and often inappropriate.
7. How would you describe yourself to someone, who say does not know you?
Mmmm I am quite intelligent and can talk about any topic under the sun. Probably a jack of all trades master of none kind of person.
I am very caring and worry about other people's problems rather than my own. I'm good company as I invariably manage to make people laugh. And I seem to attract disastrous and humorous situations - things just seem to happen to me, and then I have an urge to write about them. I love adventure and traveling and am a rugby fanatic. Something about those men in the tight shorts, muscles pumping, getting physical with each other...
8. What advice would you give to someone out there with a dream to write a book, but unsure whether to do it or not.
My advice would be to live your dream and do it. Live for the moment and regret nothing. Everybody has a book in them and it's not difficult. It just takes time and discipline. At the moment I am a little undisciplined but that is hubpages fault for distracting me. I need someone to come here and spank me.
9. What are some of the things that make you laugh?
Most of my adventures make me laugh afterwards, especially when I retell the story. At the time it might not have been funny.
I like a good romantic comedy, ah, and my son makes me laugh as he is even more random than I am. I love Tom Sharpe, he always makes me laugh and this guy, some Aussie bloke I'm reading now...um...Thatcher, Thachery? Can't remember, but it's about a bus tour of Europe he was the tour leader for. Frigging hilarious.
10. You mentioned Cindy you also have a blog available for your readers who desire to follow you?
My blog is www.cindy-vine.blogspot.com and people can follow me if they enjoy reading about some of my adventures.

BP great revue for Cindy. I am honoured to be in the presence of two published authors! who said you can't be sexy and have brains!
lol BP this seems so surreal, like I'm actually dead and people are talking about me at my funeral. God, weird. Am trolling through your Facebook for more pics to sell to the Arab Slave Traders who buy blondes to train as belly dancers. Think I have an awesome title. Jeez, it's like I'm speaking in code, but you know, don't ya?
lol BP, you can add medium to your bag of tricks now! Talking about spirit, that wine we polished off over skype was great! Did you manage to get the cherry out that got stuck in your navel?

Blonde - hey :) What a perfectly lovely article. About a perfectly lovely person! It's great finding out who's behind the writing - whether it's a hub author or a published one.
Nice one :)
hey BP check yer mail
Hi Blondepoet. You fabulous writer how are you?
Many hugs! xoxoxoxoxo
BP and Cindy, you are both women of many wonders! Thank you, BP for this amaizing hub.
Cindy, can you send me your book with your autograph, please? I'll pay S&H too. Let me know if this is possible.
ReuVera I think it would be cheaper for you to buy the book and then I write a message and scan it and send it to you and you can glue it into the book. Otherwise you pay for postage from America to China and then to where you are. If anybody buys my book and wants a special message, I'm quite happy to scan it and email to you as an attachment.
Hey BP, you've been missing all the excitement. And why you still awake, it's frigging late!
Cindy, I suppose we can do it this way. I've ordered the "Fenella Fisher" book. I'll send you my e-mail address through hubpages e-mail. Thank you.
ah, will have to send yer a mail, Sheila
Ay Sheila, it's my birfday today!
